Mono PP FAQs

Is Mono PP packaging fully recyclable?

Yes. Mono PP structures are composed of over 95% polypropylene family materials (BOPP, CPP, etc.), meeting international recycling design guidelines like CEFLEX and RecyClass. After disposal, the packaging can be separated, washed, and re-pelletized through standard mechanical recycling facilities.

Can Mono PP achieve high barriers comparable to aluminum foil?

By utilizing transparent high-barrier oxide coatings (like AlOx/SiOx) or minimal EVOH co-extrusion technology (kept under 5% to avoid affecting recycling), Mono PP can achieve extremely high oxygen and water vapor barrier rates (OTR < 1, WVTR < 1), sufficient to meet the long shelf-life requirements of most foods.

Is Mono PP suitable for retort packaging?

Absolutely. PP materials inherently possess excellent heat resistance. Our specially formulated Retort-grade Mono PP structure can stably endure high-pressure steam sterilization up to 121°C (and 135°C under specific conditions) without delamination, shrinking, or bursting.
